Recipe #117: Christmas Pudding Sauce

2 cups of whole milk
4 tablespoons of brown sugar
3 teaspoons of corn starch
2 egg yolks
1/4 teaspoon vanilla


Using a double boiler heat 1-1/2 cups of milk.

Mix the sugar and cornstarch with the remaining 1/2 cup of cold milk in a bowl.

Add to milk in double boiler, adding also the egg yolks and vanilla.

Simmer until it gets to the right thickness.
