Recipe #116: Chili Sauce

4 qts tomatoes, cut up
1 cup chopped green peppers
1 cup chopped red peppers
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup chopped onion


Strain off 3 cups of tomato juice.  Add to the pulp the following

1-1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup vinegar
2 tbsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. ground allspice
1/2  tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves

Boil until thick. Fill sterilized jars and seal tightly.
